LoadingThese Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and VerseReflections ("VerseReflections," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of the VerseReflections website, applications, content, features, and related services collectively referred to as the "Service."
By accessing, browsing, creating an account, submitting content, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. Accounts are personal to the individual who creates them and may not be shared or transferred. If you use the Service on behalf of an entity, organization, church, ministry, or other group, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" in these Terms includes that entity.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, you may not use the Service, create an account, submit content, or provide any personal information to us. Account creation requires you to confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
If we learn that a person under 13 has created an account or provided personal information, we will terminate the account and delete that information as described in our Privacy Policy. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at versereflectionsofficial@gmail.com.
If you are at least 13 but under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only if a parent or legal guardian reviews and agrees to these Terms on your behalf and supervises your use of the Service. The parent or guardian is responsible for the minor's use of the Service and for compliance with these Terms.
VerseReflections is intended to provide access to Scripture, reflections, and faith-related content in a simple and calm format. Content may be posted daily, periodically, or on another schedule, but we do not guarantee any specific cadence, availability, or frequency of updates.
The Service may include features that allow users to create accounts, react to content, submit verses or reflections for possible publication, participate in polls, receive communications, or use other features as they become available.
Some features may use artificial intelligence to assist you. For example, signed-in users may optionally request a verse suggestion by briefly describing what they would like to reflect on. The description you enter is sent to an AI provider to generate a fitting Bible reference. This feature is limited to once per day per account. AI-generated suggestions are provided as a convenience only and are not a substitute for your own reading of Scripture. We make no guarantee that any AI-generated output is accurate, complete, or theologically appropriate.
The Service is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid features, subscriptions, or donation options in the future. If we do, applicable pricing, billing practices, and any additional terms will be disclosed to you before you pay, and payments may be handled by third-party payment processors subject to their own terms. Introducing paid features will not change these Terms except as expressly stated at that time.
We may modify, update, suspend, restrict, discontinue, replace, or remove any portion of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to all or part of the Service for operational, legal, security, abuse-prevention, maintenance, or business reasons.
The Service and all content provided through it, including Scripture, reflections, user submissions, comments, themes, messages, and any other materials, are provided for informational, spiritual, devotional, and inspirational purposes only. Nothing on the Service constitutes medical advice, mental health counseling, psychiatric care, legal advice, financial advice, pastoral counseling, crisis counseling, or any other professional advice or services.
VerseReflections is not a substitute for professional care, treatment, counseling, emergency assistance, or advice from qualified professionals. You are solely responsible for how you use, rely on, respond to, or interpret any content available through the Service.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, thoughts of harming others, abuse, danger, or any urgent situation, contact emergency services, a crisis hotline, a qualified professional, or a trusted person immediately. Do not rely on the Service for emergency help.
If the Service allows account creation, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without permission. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that we believe are compromised, inactive, used in violation of these Terms, associated with abusive activity, or likely to create legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.
We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account if you fail to maintain the security of your credentials or devices.
"User Content" means any content, text, data, information, username, display name, reflection, verse submission, comment, reaction, poll response, message, feedback, or other material that you submit, post, upload, send, or otherwise provide to the Service.
As between you and VerseReflections, you retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license granted below and any rights held by third parties.
By submitting User Content, you grant VerseReflections a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, publish, transmit, adapt, edit, modify, reformat, excerpt, translate, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your User Content in connection with operating, providing, maintaining, improving, moderating, securing, promoting, and displaying the Service.
This license includes the right to display approved reflections or other approved submissions publicly on the Service, in related VerseReflections pages, and in promotional or informational materials related to VerseReflections, unless we state otherwise or you and VerseReflections agree otherwise in writing.
We may edit User Content for formatting, spelling, grammar, clarity, moderation, accessibility, technical compatibility, safety, legal compliance, or presentation purposes. We are not required to publish, maintain, or return any User Content.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you agree that we may use them for any purpose without restriction, attribution, compensation, or any obligation of confidentiality.
If you delete User Content where deletion is available, we will make reasonable efforts to remove it from active public display within a reasonable time. However, copies may remain in backups, logs, archives, cached pages, moderation records, legal records, or systems controlled by third parties for a limited or legally required period.
If you submit a reflection, verse, username, display name, or other content for possible publication, you understand that it may be reviewed by our team and may become visible to other users or visitors if approved. Do not submit private, confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information that you do not want reviewed or potentially displayed publicly.
You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all rights, permissions, consents, and authority necessary to submit the User Content and grant the license above; (b) your User Content does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights; (c) your User Content does not violate applicable law; and (d) your User Content complies with these Terms.
We may review, approve, reject, edit, remove, restrict, hide, flag, archive, or refuse to publish User Content at any time, for any reason or no reason, in our sole discretion. This includes User Content that we believe violates these Terms, creates risk, may harm users, may expose private information, may infringe rights, or may negatively affect the Service.
We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we may do so. We may also take action against accounts associated with violations, including warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, permanent suspension, or reporting to appropriate authorities where we believe it is necessary or legally required.
You agree not to, and not to assist, encourage, or enable others to:
The Service, including its design, layout, branding, logos, visual style, features, software, code, text created by VerseReflections, arrangement, and other materials, is owned by VerseReflections or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit VerseReflections content or branding without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Scripture text displayed on the Service is drawn from translations that are, to our good-faith understanding, in the public domain in the United States or dedicated to the public domain by their publishers. These currently include the World English Bible (WEB and WEBBE), which its publisher has expressly dedicated to the public domain; the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain in the United States; the Open English Bible (OEB); and the Bible in Basic English (BBE). The copyright status of a translation can vary by jurisdiction and may in some cases involve historical uncertainty — for example, rights in the Authorized (King James) Version are vested in the Crown in the United Kingdom. If we learn that any translation we display is subject to rights we have not accounted for, or if a rights holder raises a concern with us, we will promptly review it and, where appropriate, remove, restrict, or replace the affected text. Rights holders may contact us at versereflectionsofficial@gmail.com, or use the process described in Section 9. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in Scripture text beyond what the applicable rights holder or applicable law allows in your jurisdiction. Translation names and abbreviations may be trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only. If we add translations that are made available under license, that text will be displayed subject to the licensor's usage and attribution requirements, and any required copyright or attribution notices will accompany it.
We make no representation that every translation, rendering, formatting choice, reference, or excerpt is complete, error-free, or available for unrestricted reuse, and your reuse of Scripture text obtained through the Service is your own responsibility, including compliance with any translation publisher's requirements. We may update, correct, remove, or change Scripture text, references, translations, or formatting at any time.
We respect intellectual property rights and may respond to notices of alleged infringement under applicable law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act where applicable.

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, platforms, tools, Bible resources, payment processors, analytics providers, authentication providers, hosting providers, email providers, or other services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, security, availability, accuracy, or practices.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from your use of third-party services.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, error-free, accurate, complete, compatible with your device, or available at any particular time or location. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, third-party failures, security issues, updates, bugs, internet problems, or other reasons.
We may correct errors, update content, remove content, or change features at any time without liability to you.
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERSEREFLECTIONS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL VERSEREFLECTIONS, ITS DEVELOPERS, OWNERS, AFFILIATES, REPRESENTATIVES, CONTRIBUTORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR ENHANCED DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, REPUTATION, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, STATUTE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERSEREFLECTIONS' TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO VERSEREFLECTIONS, IF ANY, TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VerseReflections, its developers, owners, affiliates, representatives, contributors, and service providers from and against any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of applicable law; (e) your violation of any third-party right; or (f) your fraud, negligence, willful misconduct, or misuse of the Service.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of those claims.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, harmed another user, submitted problematic content, misused the Service, or if continued access may create legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If account deletion is available, you may request deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including User Content licenses, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, Governing Law, and Miscellaneous.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. It affects your legal rights. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and VerseReflections agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Service, User Content, or your relationship with VerseReflections will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, collective, or representative action.
Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, or a substantially similar set of rules if those rules are unavailable. The arbitrator may award the same damages and relief that a court could award on an individual basis, subject to these Terms. You and VerseReflections waive any right to a jury trial.
You and VerseReflections agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative proceeding.
You may opt out of arbitration by sending a clear written notice to versereflectionsofficial@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Include your name, the email address associated with your account if any, and a statement that you are opting out of arbitration. If you opt out, you and VerseReflections agree that disputes will be brought in the courts described below.
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies. Either party may also seek temporary or preliminary injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property, confidential information, account security, or the integrity of the Service.
If arbitration is not permitted or this arbitration agreement is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim must be brought exclusively in the courts described in the Governing Law section, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where prohibited by applicable law.
Subject to the arbitration agreement above, you and VerseReflections agree that any permitted court proceeding will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time, including when our features, legal obligations, business practices, service providers, or risk needs change. The updated Terms will be effective when posted on the Service unless another effective date is stated.
If changes are material, we may take reasonable steps to provide notice, such as by posting a notice on the Service or, if accounts are enabled and appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to versereflectionsofficial@gmail.com.
